Character Design

Continuing with the butterfly project, we then had to do a character design that is a inspired by our butterfly. The powers and the abilities that the character can do is inspired by my butterfly. I named my character 'Aphrodite' because the name morpho is an epithet of Aphrodite which means the Greek goddess of love  and beauty. The abilities and changes that my character has was inspired by my butterfly such as that my character can now see far away because my butterfly is able to see in a great distance.

Her costume was inspired by my character because my butterfly, blue morpho, has two different patterns on its wings, blue inside and brown with dots outside. When the butterfly flies, it seems that the butterfly is disappearing because of change of colour which is why I designed my character's costume to be blue inside and brown outside  also so that when she runs away from enemies, it seems she is disappearing too.

I had to do two A3 pages of my character, describing her ability and skills and also her weapons and background story.

I also then had to make a small model of my character with its weapon and costume. I found this part very difficult because I struggled on making my model look nice and also create texture on my model. I could have done my model much better but I am still proud of it the way it is because it looked like what my character is suppose to look like. However, I know myself I could've done better using different paper folding techniques to make it look better.
