Line and Tonal Drawings

For this class, I was taught how to do line and tonal value drawings. I drew capsicums and ladies finger using the drawing techniques that I learnt, line and tonal value. I found the line drawings much harder than I thought. I struggled in the beginning in class using the line contour technique drawing but I could better the more I practiced.

However, when I had to do it for homework for the ladies fingers and capsicums, I took more time and I was more patient and therefore, I think my drawings for the line contour was much better and I know I can increase my skills more and do much better drawings in the future. I will try to use this skill more often when I am drawing in the future.

Another drawing technique that I learnt was tonal value; I already knew what hatching technique was because this was the technique that I usually use when I am drawing but the other 3 techniques, I haven't drawn with before. I actually found it really fun drawing with the 4 different tonal value drawing techniques. I think I found the stippling drawing the most difficult because it was tiring and really needed patience but at the end, I think my stippling drawing was my most proud one out of the 4. For the future, I will try to use different drawing techniques instead of just using hatching technique.
